One climate, two zones of housing.

The whole Albury-Wodonga area shares the same Riverina climate: hot, dry summers regularly above 35 degrees and cold winter nights near freezing. That makes heat and glare control in summer and insulation in winter the two constants in every recommendation we make. What changes is the housing. The established central and eastern suburbs hold period homes with character windows that suit plantation shutters and curtains, while the newer estates toward Thurgoona, Hamilton Valley and Baranduda favour large-window roller blinds and motorised systems.
